BD+M have been case studied in
CAD User magazine recently. The feature focuses on
Archetype, an electronic document management system
which is specifically designed for architectural
practices. Read it from the article archive on the Cad
User website.

Archetype is now well implemented into BD+M's work
methodology. It is specifically designed for
architecture and is used to generate and control all
letters, faxes, emails etc , as well as project
documentation such as AI's, RFI's, Certificates, Meeting
Notes, HSE Notices and checklists, inspection reports,
drawing registers, snag lists and time sheets to name
just a few. The features are exhaustive. Archetype has revolutionised
the way we handle electronic data.

The Enterprise Centre, South
Green Park was designed and project managed by BD+M to a
successful completion during 2003. We have even
relocated our own business there. To underline its
quality, it was awarded a Craftsmanship Award by the
Norfolk Association of Architects shortly after its
official opening and has been widely acclaimed as a
business and training centre.

Designing for the
environment
As members of the AECB
(Association for Environment Conscious Building), we are
constantly aware of and striving to influence
environmentally responsible design. There are a lot of buzz words
being used and lip service being paid at the
moment but there are
meaningful ways to help the environment.

Extranet
Extranets are rapidly becoming the
way for all parties involved in the construction process to
communicate. Huge savings in time and fewer mistakes
are driving the costs down. BD+M use 4projects as one of the
UK's leading providers of extranet services.
